         Live Stats: -- The Missouri State Lady Bears (10-9, 2-5 MVC) open a        four-game homestand Friday at 7:05 p.m. when they host the Indiana State Sycamores (11-7,        3-4) at JQH Arena.
         Fans are encouraged to wear black to Friday's game for the first of many events at        Missouri State in conjunction with Hall of Fame Weekend. MSU will honor the Class of 2013        at halftime of the Indiana State game, as well as recognize Dr. Mary Jo Wynn for her        contributions and leadership in the construction of the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Academic        Achievement Center project.
         At Sunday's 2:05 p.m. game against Illinois State, Missouri State will retire a jersey for        legendary women's basketball coach Cheryl Burnett in a halftime ceremony. MSU women's        athletics pioneers will be honored as part of the University's Title IX 40th Anniversary        celebration approximately 20 minutes before tip-off.
         Also on Sunday, the upper bowl at JQH Arena will be open with $5 dollar tickets available        for the game, and the first 5,000 fans receive a commemorative Cheryl Burnett pin.

         Series Histories
         Missouri State holds a 49-14 series lead over the Sycamores, including a 27-4        mark in Springfield. The Lady Bears have won the last nine meetings.
         Missouri State leads Illinois State 33-29 in the all-time series and has won three of the        last four meetings, including the last two in JQH Arena. The Lady Bears won both matchups        last season, the second being a memorable 80-76 overtime victory at Redbird Arena that        clinched the MVC title.
        
         Scouting Indiana State
         Indiana State is 11-7 overall and 3-4 in the MVC after a pair of one-point losses        in its last two games.The Sycamores are led by Anna Munn, who averages 14.9 points and        whose 48 3-pointers and 152 attempts account for roughly two-thirds of ISU's team totals in        each category. Rachael Mahan (13.3) and Taylor Whitley (10.0) join Munn in double figures,        and Mahan averages 8.2 rebounds.
         As a team, Indiana State averages 58.8 points and allows 52.8 while shooting 38.1 percent        overall, 29.7 percent on 3-pointers and 65.9 percent from the foul line.
        
         Scouting Illinois State
         Illinois State is 13-6 overall and tied for third in the league at 5-2 in MVC        games ahead of its Friday showdown at Wichita State.
         The Redbirds have three players that score at least 13.5 points per game in Janae Smith        (15.5 points, 9.1 rebounds), Candace Sykes (13.9) and preseason all-MVC guard Jamie Russell        (13.5).
         As a team, Illinois State scores 67.8 points and allows 60.7 while shooting 39.9 percent        overall, 32.4 percent on 3-pointers and 75.1 percent from the free throw line.
