SPRINGFIELD -- Fresh off of a 24-win season and their third consecutive postseason appearance, the Missouri State Lady Bears will take time to celebrate the 2011-12 season with their annual postseason awards ceremony Sunday, April 29, at University Plaza (333 S. John Q. Hammons Parkway) in Springfield.

Doors open at noon with a buffet lunch at 1 p.m. followed by the presentation of season awards and highlights. Tickets are available by contacting Terrie Coulter in the Lady Bear Basketball office at (417) 836-4136. Individual tickets are $25, and all reservations must be made by April 25.

The Lady Bears of fifth-year head coach Nyla Milleson won their first Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championship since 2005 this season, compiling a 24-9 record and advancing to the third round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament for their third consecutive postseason appearance.
