The Missouri State Lady Bears (20-6, 13-3 Missouri Valley Conference) already own a share of the MVC title and have two shots this weekend to clinch the crown outright, beginning with a 7:05 p.m. Thursday game against UNI (16-11, 9-7).
The Lady Bears defeated Illinois State 80-76 in overtime on Sunday in what proved to be a de facto championship game as Wichita State lost at Indiana State that same day to send both the Shockers and Redbirds to 11-5 in the conference and two games back of MSU with two to play.
Missouri State lost 62-54 at UNI on New Year's Eve in the season's first meeting. The Lady Bears trailed by as many as 14 points in the second half and cut the deficit to 56-54 with two minutes left before UNI pulled away.
The Lady Bears host Bradley in the regular-season finale at 7:05 p.m. Saturday. Seniors Lacey Boshe, Casey Garrison, Jasmine Malone, Jaleshia Roberson and Regan Soldner will be honored in a pregame ceremony.
