The Missouri State softball team (1-1) has been rained out of day two of the Fairfield Inn and Suites Classic in Denton, Texas. Saturday's scheduled 3:00 p.m. game against South Dakota State (0-2) and 5:30 p.m. versus Northern Illinois (3-4) have been postponed.
Missouri State earned a split in day one action. The Bears opened the season with a 7-2 win over Sam Houston State (0-7), head coach Holly Hesse's 600th win at Missouri State. In the nightcap, North Texas (3-3) downed the Bears, 5-0.
Missouri State will continue play at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Classic in Denton, Texas, on Sunday against Sam Houston State. That game is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. As always, check MissouriStateBears.com for updates.

The Missouri State softball team will play South Dakota State on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. at Lovelace Stadium in the team's finale at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Classic.
