The Missouri State Lady Bears (16-6, 9-3 Missouri Valley Conference) ride a six-game winning streak into a two-game home weekend with match-ups against Evansville (5-19, 2-11) at 7:05 p.m. Friday and Southern Illinois (7-17, 3-10) at 2:05 p.m. Sunday.
Missouri State nabbed a 74-49 win at Evansville on Jan. 21 to start the current winning streak. The Lady Bears pulled down 50 rebounds and held Evansville to 30.9 percent shooting.
Southern Illinois handed Missouri State its most recent loss with a 78-72 setback on Jan. 19 in Carbondale. The Salukis used a 20-3 second-half run to seize control.
Sunday is the Play4Kay game, named for former North Carolina State women's coach Kay Yow, as schools across the country raise awareness for breast cancer. The first 500 fans at JQH Arena receive a free pink t-shirt, those wearing pink gain admission for five dollars, and pink Missouri State jerseys will be auctioned off to raise money for the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks.

Series History
The Lady Bears are 29-9 all-time against Evansville with a 16-1 record in Springfield. MSU has won the last seven in the series by an average margin of 20.4 points with no game closer than 13 points.
Missouri State is 40-26 all-time against Southern Illinois with a 23-11 record in Springfield. Missouri State had won five straight in the series prior to its Jan. 19 loss in Carbondale.

Scouting Evansville
Evansville is 5-19 overall and 2-11 in MVC play. The Purple Aces own wins against Troy, Eastern Kentucky, Murray State, Bradley and Creighton under first-year head coach Oties Epps. Samantha Heck (13.2) and Briyana Blair (10.1) are the only Aces that average double figures in scoring, and Blair's 9.3 rebounds per game rank her third in the MVC.
UE scores 54.2 points per outing and allows 63.2 while shooting 36.2 percent overall, 27.3 percent on threes and 63.6 percent from the foul line.

Scouting Southern Illinois
Southern Illinois is 7-17 overall, 3-10 in MVC play and 2-11 away from home entering its Friday contest at Wichita State.
Teri Oliver (17.0) and Cartaesha Macklin (16.3) combine for over half of SIU's scoring, and no other Saluki averages more than 6.3 points per game.
As a team, SIU averages 64.3 points and allows 69.5 with a -3.0 rebounding margin. The Salukis shoot 37.9 percent overall, 32.6 percent from three-point range and 66.7 percent on free throws.
