The Missouri State Lady Bears (10-4, 3-1 Missouri Valley Conference) head to rival Wichita State (10-5, 4-0) Saturday at 2:05 p.m. in a pivotal early-season matchup between teams at the top of the conference standings.
The Lady Bears and Shockers rank 1-2 in the league in field goal percentage and RPI, and a win Saturday would tie MSU with WSU in the standings with identical remaining schedules aside from Wichita State's trip to Springfield in February.
For Missouri State, junior Christiana Shorter is five points shy of 1,000 for her career and looks to join Casey Garrison and Jaleshia Roberson among active Lady Bears as the 22nd member of MSU's 1,000-point club.
The game will be televised on the Ozarks CW in the Springfield area.
