Missouri State's Catherine Dolan has advanced to the match play portion of the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Golf Championship in Bandon, Ore.

Dolan, a senior-to-be from Ballwin, Mo., opened stroke play qualifying Monday (June 27) with a nine-over-par 80 on the Old MacDonald Course at the nationally-acclaimed Bandon Dunes Resort.  She then shot a seven-over 78 Tuesday on the Bandon Trails Course to finish at 158 and tie for 54th in the original field of 156 players.

The low 64 players now move into match play beginning Wednesday (June 29), with the field trimmed to an eventual championship match slated for Saturday.

A three-time all-conference performer for the Bears, Dolan earned a spot in the tournament by shooting a 74 and taking medalist honors at a section qualifier in May at Lake Forest Country Club in suburban St. Louis.
