ST CHARLES, MO - The Missouri State Lady Bears are firing on all cylinders in the first half of their State Farm MVC Tournament quarterfinal match-up against Drake. MSU, which shot a blazing .543 (19-of-35) from the field, has a 47-30 lead at the break.
Junior guard Casey Garrison and sophomore forward Christiana Shorter lead the Lady Bears with 10 points apiece. Shorter has also tallied seven rebounds in the contest thus far.
The Lady Bears are leading the Bulldogs in most categories, including 19 points from MSU's bench to Drake's 2. MSU has also forced 13 turnovers, tallying 15 points off turnovers.
Shorter has helped the Lady Bears dominate the post, as the third-seeded club holds a 22-10 advantage in points in the paint and 19 total rebounds, nine of which are on the offensive end.
