Missouri State senior guard Adam Leonard closed a successful five-game series in Europe this week with back-to-back double-figure scoring efforts for his Global Sports Academy squad.
The 2010 MVC Newcomer of the Year notched 17 and 19 points, respectively, in the club's last two games, both team highs.
The team, coached by Illinois assistant Jay Price, also included MVC standouts Seth VanDeest from Drake and Gene Teague of Southern Illinois.
Games on the August 13-19 tour took place primarily in Belgium with stops in Bruges, Brussells, and Antwerp. The GSA team also had an opportunity to tour the city of London on a day off and competed twice in Germany with games in Dusseldorf and Cologne.
Leonard is one of four seniors and four returning starters set to hit the floor this fall for the Bears. Missouri State is coming off a 24-12 campaign that culminated in a CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament title. Season ticket information is available by calling (417) 836-4143.
