Bears Draw Nevada on National TV for BracketBusters Game

The Missouri State Bears will host the University of Nevada on Saturday, February 20 in the 2010 ESPN BracketBusters game at JQH Arena. That game will air live on ESPN2 nationally, beginning at 2 p.m.

MSU is one of three Missouri Valley Conference teams that will be featured on the ESPN networks for the 2010 BracketBusters series, including fellow home team Northern Iowa which will host Old Dominion on Feb. 19 at 6 p.m., also on ESPN2. Wichita State will travel to Utah State on another national ESPN network telecast on Feb. 20.

Other MVC games that are part of the BracketBusters and will not be televised are: Drexel at Bradley; Loyola (Ill.) at Creighton; Drake at CS-Northridge; Illinois-Chicago at Evansville; Morehead State at Illinois State; Indiana State at Green Bay; Western Michigan at Southern Illinois.

The Bears, who are 3-3 all-time in the BracketBusters series, will return the game with a trip to Nevada during the 2011-12 season.

Nevada, out of the Western Athletic Conference is 13-8 overall this season and 2-6 in road games. The Wolfpack is 5-3 in the WAC and is led by Luke Babbitt (6-9, So., F) who averages 21.4 points and 9.9 rebounds per game as one of four starters averaging double figures in scoring.

"There is no doubt this will be a big test for our team," said MSU second-year head coach Cuonzo Martin. "Nevada is a quality team from a good conference, and they will come ready to play. It should be a great game for our fans and we look forward to the challenge."
