The Missouri State Bears will conclude a busy week of basketball Friday night when they battle the Golden Hurricane of Tulsa, starting at 7:05 p.m. at the Reynolds Center (8,355).
 Missouri State is in the middle of a six-game run over the course of 12 days, including four games in the Dick’s Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off. The Bears beat Arkansas State on Tuesday night, 80-71, before falling at No. 23 Tennessee the following night, 60-56, for the right to advance to the Preseason NIT semifinals in New York. Kyle Weems (Jr., F, Topeka, Kan.) scored 36 points and snagged 15 rebounds in two games in Knoxville, while Will Creekmore (Sr., C, Tulsa, Okla.) contributed 24 points and 19 boards, posting game-highs in rebounds in both contests. Jermaine Mallett (Sr., G, Jackson, Miss.) was also active in Tennessee, recording 29 points and 15 rebounds in the two-game tilt.
 Tulsa, which was 16-2 at the Reynolds Center a year ago, is 1-1 after splitting a pair of home contests in the first week of the season. Doug Wojcik’s Hurricane fell to Appalachian State 89-86 (11/12/10) before taking out rival Oral Roberts, 83-68, on Tuesday afternoon.
 The Bears begin a four-game home stand Monday against Pepperdine (7:05 p.m.) in the Preseason NIT consolation bracket.
