SPRINGFIELD -- Missouri State University has announced its men's and women's basketball ticket packages and policies for the 2010-11 season. In addition to season ticket prices remaining the same for the upcoming season, lower-level tickets will be sold to the general public on a game-by-game basis for the first time.
Director of Athletics Kyle Moats said the upcoming season should provide Bears and Lady Bears fans plenty to cheer about, and the number of ticket packages and opportunities has never been greater.
"This is the season for our fans, our alumni, and our community to get behind Missouri State basketball," Moats said. "Our teams are primed for an exciting year, and we are offering some amazing packages, greatly expanding our lower-bowl seating opportunities, and expecting a great response to season ticket packages in all levels."
Season ticket packages are currently available by calling the Missouri State Athletics Box Office at (417) 836-7678 during regular office hours. The price for all seating levels has remained unchanged from last season, and season ticket holder benefits will continue to include the opportunity to purchase additional single-game tickets at any time throughout the year.
Lower-bowl season ticket holders may purchase up to four additional tickets per game (up to eight games) in any section, while upper-level season ticket holders may purchases tickets to upper-bowl sections only
For non-season ticket holders, lower-level single-game tickets will go on sale two days prior to game day, based on availability. Tickets for a Saturday game, for instance, will be available beginning Thursday morning. This is the first time, lower-level seats will be made available to the general public with the price points based on the investments made by season ticket holders for similar seats in the same sections.
Lower-bowl tickets for all exhibition games and the November 12 season openers for the Bears and Lady Bears will go on sale on Monday, October 11 at 10 a.m. Upper-bowl tickets for all men's and women's games will also go on sale at that time.
"Our fans have been asking for ticket opportunities in all areas of the arena. It makes sense when seats are open to make them available to all fans while still protecting the interests and investments of our season ticket holders," Moats said. "For most games, there will be something available in all price ranges, and that makes this new procedure exciting for all fans."
Single-game ticket prices for men's game will range from $10 to $74, while women's games will range from $7 to $25.
As in the past, Missouri State students will receive free admission to all home games. Students will have an opportunity to pick up their tickets in advance by presenting their ZIP card at any Missouri State Ticket outlet. Unclaimed student bleacher seats will be sold to the general public on game day only. Students may still claim free tickets on game day, however if all bleacher tickets are claimed or sold, they will be seated in other areas of the arena.
Additional season and single-game promotional and group discounts are available as follows:
Food, Fun and Basketball: A great deal for families and small groups who want to see the Bears. The package is good for any game and includes four upper-level tickets and a $25 concession gift card for one low price -- $50 for men's games and $40 for women's games (bleacher seating also available for Lady Bears games).
Pick 6 Ticket Package: Select upper-level seats to any six games for one low price -- $54 for men (a savings of $36 per seat!) and $36 for women (including bleachers, a savings of $24).
Young Bears Fund Package: 25% discount on all all season ticket packages for Missouri State Bears Fund members, ages 22-27. Other benefits include: 50% discounts on PRIME Overtime Club memberships for basketball; 50% discount on Annual Seat Assessments for basketball and football seats; special individual game ticket promotions and networking opportunities throughout the year. Kids Free: For all upper-level seats, kids 12 and under are free all season for every weekday games, Monday through Thursday.
