SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Missouri State women’s basketball will wrap up its inaugural Lady Bears Hometown Caravan with a visit to Exeter on Saturday, Nov. 6. The newest addition to the caravan schedule gives Lady Bear fans two more opportunities to meet and socialize with select Lady Bears and members of the MSU staff in an informal setting as they get ready for the 2010-11 season.
The Exeter caravan stop will feature a community breakfast at Exeter High School at 8:30 a.m. Doors will open at 8 a.m., with a free one-hour basketball clinic for boys and girls in grades K-8 to follow the event at 10 a.m. in the school’s gymnasium.
Fans planning to attend the breakfast (Nov. 1 deadline) or to register for the basketball clinic should contact Barbara Scott in the MSU women’s basketball office by phone (417-836-4136) or email (barbarascott@missouristate.edu), as space is limited.
McAlister’s Deli in Nixa will be the site of the Lady Bears’ next caravan stop on Tuesday, Nov. 2. The Lady Bears will be on hand for Kid’s Night at McAlister’s from 6 to 8 p.m. No advance RSVP is required.
The Lady Bears will be available for photos and autographs at each stop, and the Nixa event will feature a 2010-11 Lady Bear schedule poster signing.
All caravan stops are free and the public is invited to attend. Additional information and updates on the Hometown Caravan will be posted on MSU’s official athletics Web site, www.missouristatebears.com.
