Andy's Frozen Custard Announces Boomer Bear Concrete Flavor

Out of hundreds of on-line entries, a winning flavor was named Saturday in the Andy's Frozen Custard "Boomer Bear Concrete" flavor contest. The announcement was made at halftime of the Bears' football game against Northern Iowa at Plaster Sports Complex.

The flavor, which became available after the game at all four Springfield locations, consists of Andy's made fresh hourly vanilla frozen custard, fresh strawberries, almonds and Heath Bar.

Garrett Weaver of Springfield submitted the winning entry on-line at www.Facebook.com/EatAndys.  He was recognized on the field at Saturday's Bears game and received a certificate for one free Boomer Bear Concrete each week for the next year.

"Andy's is honored to be associated with Missouri State University and is looking forward to their continued support of all Missouri State athletics," said Andy's President Andy Kuntz.

Andy's, which has 13 locations in four Midwest states, announced the contest on August 28 at Legacy Day at Missouri State.  Andy's four Springfield locations are: 2119 N. Glenstone, 2726 S. Campbell Avenue, 3147 E. Sunshine, and 4420 S. Campbell Avenue.
