Missouri State University has announced the hiring of Tiffany Wilson as Associate Director of Athletics for Business Affairs, effective September 28.
Wilson is a native of Farmington, Mo., and has an extensive background in accounting, payroll, and business affairs for a number of organizations. Most recently, she spent eight years as Vice President of Finance for McQueary Brothers Drug Company in Springfield. In that role, she managed approximately 1,100 payable and receivable accounts, assisted in the preparation of financial statements, oversaw the Human Resources Department, and ensured state, federal and GAAP compliance. In 2008, she was named senior team leader for the Finance Acquisition Team at McQueary Brothers.
A 1997 graduate of Missouri State, Wilson is also an on-line instructor for the University of Phoenix where she has taught advanced managerial and accounting courses since 2004.
She also holds a Masters of Business Administration from Regis University in Denver.
"This is a very important position in the overall scope of the Athletics Department," said Missouri State Athletics Director Kyle Moats. "I'm looking forward to working with Tiffany and utilizing her expertise. We're excited about having a Missouri State alum as part of our athletics management team, and we know she'll make a nice addition to our athletics family."
Wilson is a member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and participates in a number of local and national charity efforts, including the Lance Armstrong Foundation, Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, and Kids Across America. She is also an active triathlete and cyclist.
Wilson's hiring is subject to final approval by the MSU Board of Governors at its October 30 meeting.
