#10 Derek  Miller on the defensive performance:

"Our defense came out really prepared this week. We were really ready for what they were going to do, the type of plays that they were going to run. This whole week we knew we just needed to keep building on what we've started on defense. We knew we just needed to keep making play and help out the team."

#27 Miguel Warren on the defensive touchdowns:

"It always helps. One thing about is when we score, they (the defense) has to go right back out there. It also takes a little pressure off of us because we do not have to try to score as many as we would like."

     On his big day:

"Knowing that we have four backs that are going to play, you know your touches are going to be very precious and limited. When you do get the ball, go make something happen and make the most of the opportunities. That is what I try to live by every game."

#13 Cody Kirby on offense:

"We have a good mix of the run and the pass. We just felt like our receivers had good match-ups in the secondary and they did a great job of getting open."

"I think we did a better job this week, but I definitely see some room for improvement. We'll have to look at the film tomorrow and be ready to go for next week. We have a big game to open up conference play."

Head Coach Terry Allen on Kirby being sacked three times:

"We've got some young receivers out there that really left Cody on the island a couple times. The kid is supposed to run, the kid has single coverage, and he is supposed to run a post route and he doesn't realize it and Cody gets sacked. We've just got to get a little better offensively. And we will because those guys always improve as we go on."

On the team's performance:

"I feel good about this football team. We have come a long way and I think we will continue to get better offensively. You just got to feel real good about the defense with the seven sacks. The best part about today is that we won the physical battle."

On Miguel's big day:

"Miguel touched the balls and made some plays now. That is exciting for him. If he can do that, then you can see why we've got those four guys that we continue to rotate in there. They all have something to bring to the table and they are all an integral part."

On the defensive performance:

"We had it all going today (defensively). The linebacker play was nice, we had a good rotation going in there. It's all good right now."
