The 2009 Missouri State University Athletics Hall of Fame class will be recognized and inducted at ceremonies on campus the weekend of February 6-7.

 

The weekend will begin with recognition ceremonies at halftime of the Lady Bears game against Creighton on Friday, February 6 at 7:35 p.m.  Lower-level tickets for the game are available for $15, based on availability.

 

The Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 7 at the Plaster Student Union. Banquet tickets are $20 and are available to the public.

 

Finally, the 2009 class will be recognized at halftime of the Bears basketball game against Southern Illinois on Saturday afternoon. The 3:05 p.m. game is a nationally-televised game on ESPN2, and upper-level tickets are available for $15.25, based on availability.

The 2009 Hall of Fame class consists of Keith Champion (baseball, 1978-81), Kate Madden (softball, 1993-96), Brianne McGuirk Calvert (women’s swimming, 1999-2003), Johnny Murdock (men’s basketball, 1991-95), Bill O’Neill (assistant coach and assistant athletics director, 1970-2008), Jackie Stiles (women’s basketball, 1997-2001), and Mark Stillwell (sports information director and assistant athletics director, 1972-2008).
