Hammons Student Center

Hammons Student Center (HSC) was constructed for $5.5 million and is named for Springfield business executive and Missouri State alumnus John Q. Hammons.  Mr. Hammons' gift of $1 million to the university helped finance the operation and maintenance of the building. The mission of HSC is continually supporting the recreational needs of enrolled Missouri State University students, faculty and staff members, and supporting the intramural and intercollegiate athletic programs. was home to Missouri State men's and women's basketball from 1976 through the 2007-08 season, and will continue to host MSU volleyball and swimming and diving competitions. In addition, HSC contains athletics and building administration offices, as well as offices for coaches, a lounge area and large varsity locker rooms.  HSC is available for recreational use by Missouri State University students, faculty, staff and alumni.
