Football and Track, 1919-22
Inducted October 18, 1975
Vic Reaves was a four-year letterman in football at SMS from 1919 through 1923 and also lettered in track in 1920 and 1921. A native of Portageville, he was the Bears’ football captain in 1920 and gained all-state second team honors in 1922 at the tackle spot. He was a member of the 1922 team which went 7-0-0 and outscored its opposition 308-18 for a single season scoring record which still stands. Mr. Reaves died February 3, 1975.
