Sharman Paine was a standout tennis player from 1971 to 1974 at SMS in the latter years of Mary Jo Wynn’s long tenure as the first SMS women’s tennis coach. Paine would go on to become the SMS women’s tennis coach herself from 1991 to 1996, guiding SMS to third place and fourth place in conference play in her best two league coaching finishes.
