Missouri State University would like to invite all former Lady Bears back to Hammons Student Center for a special celebration aimed at commemorating the proud tradition of Lady Bear Basketball.
On Saturday, March 8, 2008, the Lady Bears will host Creighton in a 7:05 p.m. contest and celebrate 32 unforgettable years in Hammons Student Center while preparing to move into their new home, JQH Arena, with another gathering of all who have worn the Missouri State uniform or served in a support capacity with the Lady Bears. Don't miss sharing in the memories of three decades worth of history by being a part of the final Lady Bear home game in Hammons.
Mediacom will be giving away souvenir mini-basketballs to the first 2,000 fans and commemorative souvenir final game tickets will be given to the first 4,000 fans in attendance attendance at the final HSC contest. Limited edition final game programs will be on sale as well.
And, last but not least, the University will honor Springfieldian and Missouri State alumnus John Q. Hammons. Mr. Hammons provided $1 million to the University in 1976 for the building of Hammons Student Center, and it is his donation of $30 million that is the lead gift in the construction immediately east of the current arena of JQH Arena, set to open for the 2008-09 basketball season.
To commit to being a part of this event, please fill out the PDF form below and return to the Lady Bear Basketball office. For more information, contact former Lady Bear and current MSU assistant coach, Carly Stubblefield.
