The Bears and Lady Bears will make their first public appearances this Saturday (Oct. 27) evening at the Missouri State Basketball Sneak Preview, presented by J. Buck's Restaurant. The event is slated for a 7 p.m. start at Hammons Student Center.
Players and coaches from both basketball teams will be introduced and each squad will hold a 20-minute scrimmage. There will be posters, schedule cards, team photos and other items available for fans, and players and coaches will be available to sign autographs. Hammons Student Center doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the first 3,000 fans receiving a coupon for a free spinach and artichoke dip appetizer, courtesy of J. Buck's Restaurant.
Admission is free, but a voluntary donation to the Bears Assisting Youth (BAY) Program can be made upon entry. The Bears Assisting Youth (BAY) program provides opportunities for Ozarks area youth and community groups to attend Missouri State Athletics events free of charge. The BAY program is supported entirely by the charitable efforts of private donors, businesses and corporate sponsors and provides free football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and baseball season and single-game tickets to area charities and community groups.
