Dr. Bruce Johnson, Emeritus Professor of Agriculture, is in his 11th year serving as chair of the Missouri State Intercollegiate Athletics Committee (IAC).

Voting members of the committee are Dr. Stan Adamson, Associate Professor of Finance and General Business; Ms. Charlotte Hardin, Assistant VP for Mulitcultural Student Services; Dr. James Hutter, Associate Professor, Department of Agriculture; Dr. Jeanna Phelps, Professor of Psychology; Dr. Ken Rutherford, Associate Professor of Political Science; Dr. Emmett Sawyer, Asst. Professor, College of Education; Dr. Roger Stoner, Associate Dean, College of Arts and Letters; and Emily Matthews, a student-athlete as well as chair of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)

Ex-officio members of the IAC are Director of Athletics – Kyle Moats; Associate Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator – Casey Comoroski; Associate Provost, Student Development and Public Affairs - Dr. Rachelle Darabi; Associate Director of Athletics for Academic and Student Services - Bryan Hicks; Associate Director of Athletics for Business Administration - Tiffany Wilson; and Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance - Kyle Yates.

Dr. Bruce Johnson is in his 14th year as the chairman of the MSU faculty committee on intercollegiate athletics and the university’s voting representative to the annual NCAA convention. Johnson, a 1962 graduate of the University of Missouri, has been on the faculty of the MSU Department of Agriculture since 1978. He earned his master’s degree in 1965 from Iowa State and his doctorate from Missouri in 1970. Johnson, whose son, Phil, was the MSU Bears’ starting quarterback in 1993, has served on the MSU faculty senate and the faculty relations committee and has won a number of awards during his teaching career.
