Hammons Field

On April 2, 2004 the Missouri State Bears moved into their new home, Hammons Field. Hammons Field is located just blocks from the Missouri State campus. The 8,000 seat, natural grass stadium includes 28 luxury suites, five party decks, six food and beverage outlets, a souvenir shop and a club lounge. One of the premier college ballparks in the country, Hammons Field was built by Missouri State alumnus John Q. Hammons. The facility features offices for the Missouri State coaching staff as well as separate dressing room and training facilities for the Bears. A 120-feet by 120-feet indoor practice facility that includes retractable batting cages and a FieldTurf surface is also available for the Bears. Hammons Field also became the home of the St. Louis Cardinals AA affiliate, the Springfield Cardinals, in 2005.
