Report Violation
In accordance with NCAA rules, all potential violations of NCAA rules shall be investigated. At no time shall any potential rules violation go unreported to the Athletics Compliance Office. If the Athletics Compliance Office determines that a violation occurred, the violation will be reported to the NCAA national office and/or appropriate conference officials.
Reporting a Potential Violation
An individual (e.g., athletics department staff member, student-athlete, MSU employee, booster, community member) may report a potential violation. An individual may report the potential violation verbally or in writing.
To Whom Shall a Potential Violation be Reported?
Anyone suspecting a potential rule violation must report the suspicion to the Athletics Compliance Office, the Director of Athletics, the President's Office, the University Compliance Office, or the Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR).
Note: Assistant coaches have not met their burden by simply reporting a potential violation to their supervising head coach. They must be able to verify that the report is made to one of the individuals listed above. If you have any questions, contact the Athletics Compliance Office.
