Missouri State looks to complete a perfect home stand Saturday afternoon when the Lady Bears take on Northwestern at 2 p.m. at JQH Arena.
The Lady Bears (3-6) picked up a 94-71 victory over Wichita State last Thursday and backed that up with a 76-66 win against Oral Roberts on Sunday, and have two games left before Missouri Valley Conference play as a Dec. 19 trip to Alabama awaits following the NU contest. MSU opens the MVC season Dec. 29 at Indiana State.
Sunday's game is Missouri State's first opportunity to host a Big Ten school since a third-round WNIT loss to Illinois in 2010. The Lady Bears are 6-2 all-time at home against the Big Ten, including a victory against Northwestern in 1997.

Series Histories
Missouri State is 1-2 against Northwestern, including a 75-52 loss in Evanston last season. Prior to that, the Lady Bears earned a 73-70 home win in 1997, and lost to the Wildcats 84-76 in a 1995 game in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Missouri State and Alabama have played once, an 86-53 victory by the Crimson Tide on Dec. 30, 1985 in Tuscaloosa. The Lady Bears have had success against Southeastern Conference teams recently, beating an SEC opponent in each of the last four seasons, with five total wins coming against Missouri (twice), Arkansas (twice) and Ole Miss.
